Scholarship recipients receive $1000 from Slim Hand Music Foundation

2024 West ISD graduate Alonso Castaneda received a $1000 scholarship from the SHM Foundation this year to help him in his musical theater career.
Alonso is a National Honor Society student with well over a 4.0 GPA and is described by his teachers as a passionate leader and exemplary student. Alsonso is also a district UIL champion.
We wish all the best of luck to Alonso in his career endeavors!!
2024 Penelope ISD graduate, Dylan Lednicky, received a $1000 scholarship from the SHM Foundation to pursue his career in music. While attending Penelope ISD, Dylan was a member of the National Honor Society, played several sports, participated in FFA and was a member of the local VFD. He also has his own band and plays drums.

Dylan's teachers describe him as having excellent communication and leadership skills and being highly proficient in applying his music knowledge in many areas of study.

We wish Dylan much success with his music career!!!
